Regulation and Standardization of the Medical Cannabis Market—Fear or Necessity.

Presentation of Yehuda Baruch on Cannafest Prague 2014. The lecture is in the original version. Brief synopsis can be found in the description below.

There is a big difference between cannabis for medical use and cannabis for recreational use. While using recreationally, the user wants to feel the "high" and is willing to use as much as needed, while those who use it for medical purposes want to have a specific regimen and constant dose in order to alleviate their suffering and to allow them to go to work (without appearing "high" at work). In order to achieve this goal there is a need to regulate the medical cannabis market. Since this market is new to the world (at least legally) and is spreading globally and fast, we now have a window of opportunity to put in place the same standards and regulation worldwide. Thus achieving that manufactures, physicians and other health professionals and end users (patients) will speak the same language. The need for regulation and standardization is in manufacturing, packaging, distribution, active ingredients of cannabis, method of use, doses and indications, and more.

Your are cordially invited to the annual conference at Cannafest,  the international trade fair of cannabis and medical herbs that will  take place on November 11-13, 2016 at the Prague Exhibition Holesovice.  The conference presentations will be simultaneously interpreted into  English and Czech.
